The Inner Condition Workshop which is part of the requirement to be an ESSA member is always different depending on the participants. Though the main content is the same, the approach and topics will always evolve to meet the questions and needs of the participants. Also a big part of the workshop is the capacity and the openness of the participants to explore unfamiliar concepts and how deep they would like the discussion to be. Changes such as this social night is part of the spontaneous program innovations that can happen during these gatherings as was recently observed during the latest inner conditioning workshop.

ESSA hopes to conduct more of these workshops all over the country as more and more people recognize the importance of the individuals inner condition in attaining a renewed Philippine agriculture.

The new set of Council Members held their first meeting at CBE, Anga, Bulacan. This after the Organic 4.0 National Conference was held in Iloilo City last February. The council meeting was surprisingly fast and productive thanks to the output of the participants from the conference. The output from the Hackathon, Open Space and Geographic Cluster were incorporated during the planning process and helped set the direction of the organization for the rest of the year as well as the elements of the proposal that will be included for the third phase of ESSA.

These are exciting times for the organization, its partners and ofcourse the stakeholders. The diversity of the members representing the different sectors ensures that the different sectors are well represented and that their needs are met.

Another exciting aspect of what ESSA aims to establish in the future and with interest coming from the particpants during the conference are independent clusters of ESSA(Thematic or Geographical in nature) all over the country that can operate independently, guided by ideals and principles of ESSA’s mission and vision. These independent spin off will be able to act independently whilst at the same time have the capacity to see in a systemic perspective and the inner condition to come together as a larger whole to address systemic needs that will ultimately lead to societal change.
